4 swap

4 swap, originally uploaded by coltpixy.

Made for a swap on Creative-Living.us The first attempt at both bias tape and a pot holder. Also first attempt at stitch markers. The owl applique was hand drawn by me so the recipient could have one that no one else had.
I learned a lot and will make her a better pot holder next week with the same owl.

  1. I love my owl potholder and it makes me smile each time I look at it!

I didn't know that it was your first attempt at making stitch markers.
I can't wait to use them.
You should make some for your store.

  2. I have never used them so did not have a reason to make them before. Just tried to make absolutely sure there was nothing the fibers could catch on while in use.
I really enjoyed choosing the materials and designing how it should look. It has been many years since I made and sold jewelry but it felt the same.
How many should go in a set of them?

  3. I'm not an expert since I just started knitting but I usually see them sold in packs of 4, although they are also sold up to 8 in a pack.
