Remember when you were a kid and you made things just to be making them? It was relaxing and fun. That is all I was doing when I made these. Playing with textures and seeing what I could come up with using unconventional things to make textures on polymer clay.
The texture on these shoes was made with a paper doily.

Using a doily for texture, how cool is that!? They're cute! I like how the star design on the top one looks like a fancy shoe buckle.
