Ever heard the expression "peas in a pod" to describe like minded people? That is what inspired Deronda of http://derondadesigns.com to come up with the idea for this particular pod of peas. I made them today out of polymer clay. It is a 2½ inch long magnet.
It features: Moanie, Bitchy and Whiny. They scream and rant so much they do not notice when the spittle flies from their mouths.

Mokume Gane
Mokume Gane is the Japanese term for "woodgrained metal". It is also the name of a technique used in polymer clay.
These Mokume Gane pieces are a work in progress. Not finished yet. These have been cured and sanded with 9 different varying grits of wet/dry sand paper then buffed with old denim.
Now I am going to add a clay edging around them. Once finished they will be used in a project I am finishing today

purple mica shift
Working my way down the list of colors I can get to work for me. I like the way these purple ones came out. The larger ones are 1 inch wide.

This piece is a pale blue. It has a bunny on one side and a swirl pattern on the other. There is a photo of the other side in my Flickr photos. This one got turned into a key chain.

are they the next big thing?

I recently entered a contest on the shop Popko blog to name these cute rings. I chose PoPkins as a play on her name PoPko and aliens because of the googly eyes.
I still cannot believe I won because I never win anything. I chose the emerald green one. Green is lucky and I won while my great dane George was still being hospitalized. It was on the first day he was starting to show signs of recovery. I was feeling lucky. (He has since fully recovered!)
Aren't these the cutest rings? They are even more adorable in person. Don't take my word for it head over to her Etsy shop PoPkO.etsy.com and get your own.
She has lots of other goodies too including heat fused glass and the most amazing things made with butterfly wings. She is very sweet and a very talented artist.
Thank you PoPko! I love it!

I also would like to thank Ninja Jenn for going out of her way to help me give this blog a make-over. I could not have done it without her.
