I love how the blooms look like they have just been tickled with a paint brush.

Art Fire studios are about to get a makeover. This is a sneak peek of mine. We will have larger thumbnails, larger banners and avatars and will be able to choose our own color schemes. I can hardly wait until they go live!
Remember when you were a kid and you made things just to be making them? It was relaxing and fun. That is all I was doing when I made these. Playing with textures and seeing what I could come up with using unconventional things to make textures on polymer clay.
The texture on these shoes was made with a paper doily.
This piece was made using the mica shift technique. I love how mica shift causes patterns to look 3 dimensional when they are not.
Lately I keep finding myself drawn to textures. Not just textures but combination's of different techniques in one piece. This week my plans are to just play and see where this takes me.
Someone challenged me to make my bitchy peas in a pod into a necklace. I made two of these. I love how they make people laugh!
It has rained here almost every day for weeks on end. Yes it is good for the flowers, not so much for construction. We have been trying to build a wheel chair ramp and tomorrow is the last day to get it finished.
The day after that my mother-in-law arrives for a vacation. She has apparently become wheel chair bound. Hopefully it will not rain every day they are here because they love to get out and soak up the local flavor.
Just wanted to let you know I am still alive and kicking even though I have not been blogging here much and my shop is on vacation. Just trying to make sure everything here is just right for company.
