Flight

You have to be very fast to fly away from angry bees. Fortunately this little fairy is magical and can get away before they even know any honey is missing.



1:6 Play Scale Bee Skep with Honey Thief Fairy. Polymer clay bee skep or hive in a golden wheat color. There is a tiny fairy about to sneak into it to steal its cache of honey.
Actual size is 2 2/16 inch (5.5 CM) wide, 2.5 inches (6.5 CM) tall.

1:6 play scale Flower Basket

Actual measurements are 3.25 inches (8.25 CM) long by 2.50 inches (6.35 CM) tall up to the top of the butterfly on the handle.
There are 2 permanently attached butterflies and 15 removable flowers. There is a photo of the basket without the flowers along with more photos HERE

Miniature Picnic Basket Finished

The actual measurements are 1 14/16 inches (.5CM) long x 14/16 inch (.2CM) to top of lids x 1 14/16 (.5CM) tall including handle.



I think I am addicted to making these miniature polymer clay picnic baskets. 1:12 dollhouse scale picnic basket can also be used as a 1:6 play scale lunch basket. The lids are hinged so that it may be opened.

1:12 scale picnic basket is also good as a 1:6 scale lunch basket. I finished it this afternoon.

What I learned from the darker one is that I will be attaching the hinged lids in a different manner.

1:12 scale picnic basket challenge

When I mentioned to some friends that I wanted to make a series of miniature baskets my muse (who is no longer on vacation) tossed picnic basket into the list of possibilities.

Weaving clay on a scale this small proved a bit challenging for me.


I just need to make the hinged lids for this one and it will be done. There is a 12oz can in the photo for size comparison.
