Playing with plastic
I came across a tutorial for making sun catchers from plastic beads on Pinterest. It was really easy to do! I used 5" disposable aluminum pie tins. You use plastic beads (I used pony beads) layer them in a mold and put in a 400º oven for 20 minutes. If you do this make sure to have all of the windows open. It stinks as they are melting but the aroma goes away quickly once it cools. I just turned off the oven and left the door closed until they cooled off. They pop right out of the tin without any effort. Do not worry about the beads having holes because when they melt the holes fill in. I want to get some heart shaped molds, either aluminum or silicon and make hearts to hang in my kitchen window.
