Dirt Tank Update

It has been a while since I updated my natural planted aquarium diary. I started this tank in November. Added the walmart rescued veil tail betta in December. Now it is March. Some plants worked out great. Others needed more light than I could provide them.



Now that Winter is over and I won't have to worry about heat packs and plants making it here via USPS I am going to order some more. I will also add more fish but that will have to wait until I have a chance to drive down to Alabama to the fish shop. The tank has done so well in the 4 months I have had it. I am so happy with this experiment that I am going to convert another tank to a dirt substrate soon. It is smaller and will be a shrimp tank.

My burns did not heal as quickly as I wanted them to but I am all healed now. Here is my latest snail, the bowling queen.

Playing catch up

Last Wednesday night I badly burned my right hand. It was really bad. Now all but the worst spot is healed. It will take a bit longer the rest but I am finally able to work with clay again because the skin has pretty much healed... no more missing spots.

Deadlines had been altered because of it and now I feel like I am playing an endless game of catch up. I tend to work better with deadlines even if they are self imposed and do not like feeling that I am way behind. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to show you the piece that I was working on before my accident.
